SANDUSKY, Ohio — Another ride has closed forever at Cedar Point as park spokesperson Tony Clark confirms that Professor Delbert’s Frontier Fling “is currently being removed as we make way for future development.”
“We’ll share more information at the appropriate time,” Clark told 3News in an e-mail Friday morning.
Clark also noted the ride will not be moving to another park once it's dismantled.
"It's the end," he said.
Professor Delbert’s Frontier Fling, which was located where the Shoot the Rapids water ride once stood, was an upcharge ripcord attraction that took thrillseekers screaming through the sky in a face-down plummet at speeds up to 65 mph.

Its removal comes as Cedar Point has recently closed other attractions in that section of the park, including Snake River Falls, Snake River Expedition and the Forbidden Frontier interactive experience with live actors.
While Cedar Point has not yet revealed their plans for all this newly available space, construction crews are currently building the new Siren’s Curse tilt roller coaster in a different section of the park near the Iron Dragon and Valravn.
As Cedar Point's 19th roller coaster, which is set to open in 2025, Siren’s Curse is being called the tallest, fastest and longest tilt coaster in North America.
