GEAUGA COUNTY, Ohio — Located in Chesterland, Patterson Fruit Farm is officially in full swing now that the fall season is here.
The seven-generation farm has everything from handpicked apples and corn to delicious doughnuts and apple fritters.
To the Patterson family, this place is more than just a farm,
“This is a family place, it’s a place of memories, a lot of people say they got their first job here, then they got married here at orchard hills, then they bring their kids and really, it’s a great family atmosphere here for people,” Kristin Patterson, co-owner of Patterson's, said.
The fun doesn’t just end at the 30-acre farm off Caves Road, the family also owns another 117-acre farm off Mulberry Road, which is where the Patterson Family Fun Fest is taking place.
“We have slides galore here at the family fun fest we have our corn maze actual tractors that kids can climb on and pretend they are farming our fields,” Patterson's Manager Bob Rogish said.
Family Fun Fest is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Friday-Sunday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Activities at family fun fest range from pumpkin painting and pony rides to slides and a giant corn maze.
Ticket prices are Monday-Thursday: $6 per person, and Friday, Saturday and Sunday: $10 per person. Children under two years old are free and Seniors are $6.
