CLEVELAND — It's the spookiest time of the year as Halloween is here. When you think of places to visit that are haunted, cemeteries usually make that list. What about Cleveland's most famous cemeteries: Lake View Cemetery?
This 285-acre cemetery has been meticulously designed with many walking paths all surrounded by an arboretum of towering trees and lush landscaping. Many prominent Clevelanders have been buried here including President James A. Garfield (nation's 20th president) and John D. Rockefeller.
IS IT HAUNTED?
There is a particular gravesite that is believed to be haunted: Haserot Angel. Located in Section 9, this bronze angel statue looks like it is crying black tears. The black color comes from weathering as rain and melted snow drips down the face. Visitors have made claims the angel will watch you as you walk by and sometimes walks around the burial grounds itself.
