WOODMERE, Ohio — Tired of being cooped up in the winter? Our Jason Mikell found a new place to get your exercise on in Woodmere.
Marie DiStasio, owner of the new ab&flow Pilates Studio at Eton Chagrin Boulevard, inspires participants to feel the burn, embrace new movements, and cultivate new routines into their everyday lives.
"The whole idea behind pilates is to keep you strong, but also keep you mobile," says DiStasio.
Marie discovered the benefits of pilates over 15 years ago with the idea of opening up a studio to break down what people think pilates is. She operates with the notion that pilates is for everyone!
"It is resistance training...but everything is with springs. There's this concept of lengthening and strengthening your muscles at the same time" DiStasio adds.
With a friend on deck, Jason was also joined by 3News' Front Row producer Taylor Moore, along with ab&flow's resident mascot, Reina.
As Jason worked through the motions and movements, he learned that small movements can have huge impacts on our bodies.
According to Marie, ab&flow has officially been open for a month and have new classes coming onto the schedule in March. You can check out ab&flow's class schedule by clicking here.
