CLEVELAND — It's back -- and tonight, we'll get a look at what shows are coming to the stage in Cleveland this season.
Wednesday evening, Playhouse Square will hold a virtual event to announce its much-anticipated KeyBank Broadway Series lineup, which will begin in Fall 2021.
The virtual broadcast for the announcement will be held at 7:30 p.m. The event is open to the public. You can watch the event HERE.
“Cleveland audiences are always eager for this annual announcement, which usually coincides with a live event in our theaters for our season ticket holders and donors,” said Playhouse Square President & CEO Gina Vernaci, back in March. “While we wish we could share this news in person, preparing for our virtual broadcast fills us with hope and anticipation for audiences to experience the magic of Broadway they love so much.”
Playhouse Square also said, it will announce new COVID-19 safety protocols for audiences to return at a later date.
Multiple productions were postponed last year due to the pandemic, and some of them have already been rescheduled. "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "My Fair Lady" will both return in 2022. "Jesus Christ Superstar" will run February 2-22, 2022, and "My Fair Lady" is scheduled to run from June 7-26, 2022. If you had tickets for the original performances of those shows, Playhouse Square will contact you with instructions on how to get tickets for the new dates.
