Some people are timid when it comes to eating hot and spicy foods.
Me? I'm a lightweight. The hottest wing you'll ever see me eat is 'mild,' and that's pushing it.
Others have a stronger threshold.
On Thursday evening, our 3News executive producer Josh Folk decided to be super brave and order the Blazin' flavored wings from Buffalo Wild Wings.
Josh is one of those with a stronger threshold. He ate just two wings and called it a night. Pat Chiesa from our 3News sports department mustered three Blazin' wings and then surrendered.
Enter Russ Mitchell. Our 3News anchor and managing editor was wondering what all of the fuss was about. Josh challenged him to try one of the Blazin' wings. Our cameras caught the rest:
How hot are these wings? According to Business Insider, Blazin' sauce is 60 times hotter than jalepeño peppers.
There apparently is a Blazin' Challenge at Buffalo Wild Wings daring you to eat a dozen of the ultra-hot wings in six minutes. You can't have any sauce, drinks, or use a napkin during that time. Let's just say that I don't think anyone in our newsroom will be taking the challenge anytime soon.
After I posted a tweet of Russ' attempt to eat the wing, here were some of the responses from 3News staff and you as well:
