Antiques Roadshow Executive Producer Marsha Bemko told 3News' Mike Polk Jr. there were more than 29,000 applications for 2,000 pairs of tickets to event in Akron.

“Holding events at properties like Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens provides an enriching experience for our guests and audiences that they may otherwise miss,” Bemko added.

Part adventure, part history lesson, part treasure hunt, the show has many devoted fans, making it PBS' most popular series. Some of those devoted fans include our very own Chief Meteorologist Betsy Kling's mom Sue, and her friend Millie, so we decided to pair them up with Mike himself to get some inside access to the day of production, and even have the chance to get some of their own items appraised by the show's experts.

Take a look at the video in the player above and below to watch them learn more about their special items, and what they're worth.
