Kathy Goss - Lake View Cemetery’s 150th Anniversary

The President and CEO of Lake View Cemetery shares a little history about the 150-year-old cemetery.

There’s an old saying, ”location, location, location” – so when you’re picking out your final resting place, you want to think about the location! And so many of Cleveland’s most historical residents, along with President Andrew Garfield and Industrialist John D. Rockefeller, are buried at the beautiful Lakeview Cemetery – at the top of Mayfield Road. Kathy Goss, President and CEO of Lakeview Cemetery, joined Hollie & Michael today to share even more!

Below are questions Hollie and Michael asked Kathy:
Lake View Cemetery is 150 years old this year. Tell us a little about the history of the cemetery.

How is Lake View Cemetery different than other cemeteries?

Who are some notable figures that are buried at Lake View?

Does Lake View have any special events planned for the 150th Anniversary?

So, with Lake View being around for 150 years with so much history and so many people buried there, is there still space available for people who may be interested in burial space at Lake View?

What is some advice you would give to our viewers who are thinking about pre-planning their funeral and burial?

So, any history buffs out there looking to plan a visit to the Lake View Cemetery? Let us know through our social media, ‘Live on Lakeside’.
