Laura Welsh Berg & Lynn Robert Berg- Great Lakes Theater Celebrates 30th Anniversary of “A Christmas Carol”

Great Lakes Theater is still finding ways to keep this classic exciting and fresh!

Great Lakes Theater is producing Charles Dickens’ classic story, A Christmas Carol, and this is one show you don’t want to miss this holiday season! That’s right! They’re celebrating a big anniversary, but they’re still finding ways to keep everything exciting and fresh. Christmas Carol actors Laura Walsh Berg, who plays the role of Mrs. Cleaveland, and Lynn Robert Berg, who plays the infamous Scrooge, joined Hollie and Alexa to discuss the show!

Here are the questions Hollie & Alexa had for the actors:

  • For those who may not know- though I doubt there are many people who don’t know this story- could you tell us a bit about A Christmas Carol?

  • I understand this is the 30th anniversary of Great Lakes Theater’s A Christmas Carol! Tell me about the “Christmas Carol Family Reunion” you guys had!

  • You guys have a unique element to your production- it’s a show within a show, right? Can you tell us about that?

  • And I know the show had a massive refurbishment this year: tell us about that!

  • You’ve both played multiple roles in A Christmas Carol over the years; tell us a bit about the history of A Christmas Carol over the past 30 years, and how you’ve seen it evolve.

  • We’ve been talking about the history of the show, and we spoke about the “Christmas Carol Family Reunion,” but that has a bit of a different meaning for you two, doesn’t it? Could you tell us about your personal connection to the show?

  • What do you hope the audience takes away from this production of A Christmas Carol?
