Strange things seem to happen whenever the Cleveland Browns take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The two teams are set to lock up on Sunday at First Energy Stadium, so it was an appropriate time for us to take a look back at some of the crazy Browns-Jags results on Thursday's Donovan Live Postgame Show.
There was 1999, when the late Orlando Brown's career was radically changed by a penalty flag that hit him in the eye.
Or 2002, when Quincy Morgan's 'Hail Mary' catch helped the Browns to eventually earn their only playoff birth of the expansion era.
And 2013, when despite 261 yards receiving from Josh Gordon (including a 95-yard TD), the Browns watched Chad Henne march Jacksonville down the field for a game-winning TD pass to former Mount Union WR Cecil Shorts. Jimmy is convinced that this loss led to the end of the Rob Chudzinski era in Cleveland.
But nothing can touch Bottlegate in 2001.
Click this link if you need your memory refreshed. Or you can just look at these photos and remember how crazy things got when a controversial decision by referees to go back and look at a replay ended up in chaos, and a Browns defeat.
So Jimmy and I decided to look back at this infamous moment in Browns history. He has some amazing stories about that game.
Plus, after a visit from Cleveland State's Dennis Felton to Donovan Live, we discussed the state of local college hoops.
If there's one thing to take from that discussion: Don't cross Jimmy!
