Young athlete chases dream of USA Paralympic team

After overcoming obstacles like no one could imagine, Zion Clark is chasing the dream of competing in the 2020 Paralympics.

Our tagline at Channel 3 is "See the Possible," as we like to tell stories about people finding solutions, and overcoming situations.

Tuesday's guest on Donovan Live fits that description perfectly.

Zion Clark is a student at Kent State University-Tuscarawas Campus and has been accepted to Otterbein College. The native of Columbus is also an avid musician.

He was born with no legs and grew up in foster care. Yet Zion has overcome all of that with tremendous courage and grace. His story is now on the big screen in the documentary short Zion, which is being shown at the upcoming Cleveland International Film Festival.

Zion is working to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics in wheelchair racing. However, he needs a new chair for the competition, which costs $5,000.

The great people at GV Art & Design are lending a hand in the fundraising effort, donating 20% of all proceeds from their FromWithinApparel.com line to the cause if you use the promo code ZION.

A GoFundMe page has also been set up.
