CLEVELAND — Black celebrities celebrate Juneteenth, Billie Eilish given a three-year restraining order against a fan who kept showing up at her home, and drama ensues in the 'Jersy Shore: Family Reunion' finale. These are the top headlines around Hollywood.
Black celebrities are sharing what Juneteenth means to them in a new online piece with Entertainment Tonight.
'Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist' star Alex Newell told ET, 'The day is quite literally about freedom and being free and opportunity and hope and optimism and celebration is the baseline of it all.'
Activist and actor Laverne Cox told Entertainment Tonight 'Juneteenth is about freedom. It is about emancipation. And I think that for a long time, for black people in this country, that was symbolic.'
Other celebs featured in the piece include Jennifer Lewis, Todrick Hall, Ice-T, and Ludacris.
Happy Juneteenth everyone.
Billie Eilish is also having a good day after being granted a restraining order against a fan who repeatedly showed up at her house.
The man, who is from Long Island, turned up at Eilish's family home in Los Angeles seven times in a two-day period back in May.
According to court documents, the 24-year-old man allegedly sat down on the family's porch at one point and began to read a book while the family waited for security.
The singer was granted a temporary restraining order at the time, and the intruder was arrested and sent back to New York.
Talk about a bad guy.
And last night several cast members from MTV's iconic show 'Jersey Shore' got into during the season finale of 'Jersey Shore: Family Reunion,' and it even prompted one star to quit the show.
The episode took place at Angelina Pivarnick's wedding, and after roast-level speeches from her female cast members, the bride stormed off in tears with her new husband.
Pivarnick said on Twitter Thursday that although she had encouraged the girls to joke about her in their wedding speech, she quickly changed her mind when she realized the jokes made her husband uncomfortable.
After fans attacked Pivarnick, she then went on to accuse the girls of talking trash about her in a group chat and threatened to expose the texts on social media.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, fed up with the drama ended up quitting the show in last night's season finale, and then quoted Pavarnick's tweet saying 'expose the mean girls, do what you need to do so we can all peacefully move on with our lives.'
Amen Snooki.
