NBA star Shaquille O’Neal’s son, Shareef O’Neal, is the latest to get inked in honor of the late Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, following in the footsteps of Los Angeles Laker LeBron James.
Shareef showed off two tattoos, one with Kobe and Gianna’s jersey numbers, and another that says "mamba mentality," on Instagram on Wednesday morning.
James, who received the last public tweet ever posted by Kobe, also got a tattoo to honor the NBA star.
James shared a picture of his ink in a post on Facebook with a throwback photo with Bryant, writing: "[heart emoji] My brother #Mamba4Life #RIPKobe #RIPGiGi"
Shaq's son, who said Kobe was like an uncle to him, previously posted a heartfelt message expressing his sadness over his death.
With a post seated next to #8 and #24 Los Angeles Lakers jerseys, Shareef wrote: "You always wanted me to be the best I could be.. you always made sure I was happy, you put me before you put yourself and when we had our moments you made me feel like I was great ... 8|24 [heart emoji] 2 . I love you, I thank you, I miss you [heart emoji]."
