CLEVELAND —
Summer brings a lot of traditions, and one of the best? America’s Got Talent.
The iconic show is back for season 15, premiering Tuesday May 26 at 8:00 p.m. eastern here on 3News.
Digital Anchor Stephanie Haney sat down with AGT host and self-proclaimed germaphobe, Howie Mandel.
Mandel said that not only is this upcoming season one of the most exciting and groundbreaking, mentioning that his golden buzzer act has ‘never before been seen on AGT.’
Mandel also said the show is also chalked full of ups and downs thanks to COVID-19.
Co-host and ‘great friend’ Heidi Klum fell sick in March, leading ‘Modern Family’ star Eric Stonestreet to step in, and reuniting him with new AGT host, Sofia Vergara.
Klum tested negative for the Coronavirus, but many changes had already been implemented for the show, including taped shows with no studio audience.
Mandel told Haney that while he has always refrained from shaking hands, he hopes that people take this time to find a different cordial greeting as opposed to the typical handshake.
‘I think what we should do is just spooning’ Mandel said, ‘that way you’re not face to face.’
Hey, whatever works.
Looking for a new show to watch? The Kardashian/Jenner family have got you covered.
Kendall Jenner’s twin brother is finally getting his moment in the spotlight.
‘Kirby Jenner’ is a new parody show, starring the Kardashian family and joking about what their life would be like if there really was an extra Jenner.
‘You’re the best kept secret of our generation’ says Kim Kardashian in the trailer for the brand new Quibi show.
‘Kirby’ may be a joke, but he also has 1.3 million followers on Instagram, and has successfully photoshopped himself into many photos with the famous family.
The first three episodes are now available to stream on the Quibi app.
Tesla founder and Canadian singer Grimes welcomed a beautiful baby boy several weeks ago, and they have already changed his name… sort of.
The baby, originally name ‘X Æ A-12’ will now have to go by ‘X Æ A-XII’ thanks to the law.
In California, numbers are prohibited on a baby’s birth certificate, so the couple went with roman numerals instead.
Grimes confirmed this news over the weekend after a fan commented on her Instagram post asking if they changed the name to conform with California law.
As for the actual pronunciation of the name, Musk says it’s something like ‘X Ash Archangel Twelve, but Grimes says it's ‘X A.I 12.’
Good luck with that one, kid.
