CLEVELAND — What a special surprise!
Al Roker, who once worked at WKYC here in Cleveland, joins us every Monday morning to preview what’s coming up on NBC’s Today.
Roker ends his comments each week by roasting WKYC’s Director of Content Adam Miller, who came to lead the Channel 3 newsroom after several years working at Today.
“I always talk about Adam Miller, but I’ve decided not to do that anymore,” Roker said as Miller surprised him live from the WKYC anchor desk.
It didn’t take long for the joking jabs to fly.
“Are you even wearing pants?” Roker asked before adding that “Adam had a bunch of pictures of Britney Spears when he was here on his desk. It was very creepy.”
Despite the laughter, Miller was on a mission with a special request for his Today pal.
“We really want to pick up the campaign to bring Roker to Cleveland for the All-Star Game,” Miller said.
Roker didn’t hesitate.
“I’m in! I’m in! All-Star Game in Cleveland? I am there, baby!”
The 2019 All-Star Game takes over Progressive Field on Tuesday, July 9.
“In the next segment, we’ll watch paint dry,” Roker exclaimed before offering an “I love you” to Miller before signing off.
We love you, too, Roker!
