CLEVELAND — Opinions were coming in fast Thursday morning after Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s updated order on masks, CDC recommendations for celebrating Thanksgiving and the potential closure of bars, restaurants and gyms as COVID-19 cases surge.
In the latest edition of the On The GO! 3News morning aftershow, Danielle Wiggins, Jasmine Monroe, Maureen Kyle and Dave Chudowsky sat down to go through the revised orders and recommendations while discussing how people in the community are reacting.
The amended mask order requires businesses to post signs clearly stating face coverings are required. Each store is now responsible for making sure all customers and employees are wearing masks.
A new state retail compliance unit is being formed to make sure businesses are complying with the order. A first violation will bring a written warning, and a second will close the store for up to 24 hours.

Jen Russo Weahry, a 3News viewer, wrote: "Working in retail, how is this huge responsibility on our shoulders?"
Weahry says workers are already dealing with people getting angry when they’re told to wear a mask and to wear it correctly.
