CLEVELAND -- Leon Bibb will be the first to tell you -- yes, he's brought the news into your living rooms for decades, but he's a storyteller by trade. And he misses it.
So that's what he'll do here at WKYC -- bring us stories and commentary on life in Northeast Ohio.
Hear what Leon's been up to and what his plans are now that he's back in the newsroom. Watch his conversation with Russ Mitchell below:
Leon was raised in Cleveland and graduated from Glenville High School before attending Bowling Green State University. He also served in Vietnam.
His journalism experience is vast, from working at the Plain Dealer, to television stints in Toledo, Columbus, here at WKYC and over at WEWS Channel 5, where he retired last year. Now, he's back.
He's witnessed history, from covering the Gulf War, interviewing James Earl Ray, the man convicted of assassinating Dr. Martin Luther King, and sitting down in the Oval Office with President Barack Obama. He's also shared the ups and downs of our sports teams.
You can't put a price on that wealth of experience.
