Tri-C JazzFest kicks off Friday with three days of online performances: How to get free tickets and watch

The festival is free, but donations for Tri-C students will be accepted.

Tri-C's vitrual JazzFest kicks off tonight at 7 p.m., with more than a dozen free performances through Sunday, Aug. 23.

CLEVELAND — The show will go on at the 41st annual Tri-C JazzFest. It will just be a bit different.

The virtual fest kicks off tonight at 7 p.m., with more than a dozen free performances through Sunday, Aug. 23.

Performers include Evelyn Wright, the Dan Wilson Trio, Vanessa Rubin and Eddie Baccus Sr.  Bassists Christian McBride and John Clayton will do live chats during the festival.

It’s free to watch, but organizers ask that you register for tickets here.

Donations to  Tri-C’s Student Emergency Fund will also be accepted. 

The money will benefit creative arts students experiencing unforeseen financial challenges. Donations can be made online.
