SANDUSKY, Ohio -- When you climb aboard Cedar Point’s newest roller coaster this summer, you probably won’t think much about the impact Valravn has on Ohio’s economy.
But getting you on the record-breaking ride took the work from more than 20 Ohio companies that were involved in Valravn’s construction.

Clermont Steel Fabricators, based in Batavia, manufactured the track and supports for Valravn, which first broke ground last September.
Valravn -- which is the world’s tallest, longest and fastest dive coaster -- takes riders on a perilous 90-degree plunge from 214 feet in the air before twisting through a trio of inversions along a 3,415-foot course.

Since 2014, Cedar Fair says they have invested more than $150 million throughout Ohio at Cedar Point, Kings Island near Cincinnati and Wildwater Kingdom in Aurora.

MYSTERY | Valravn secret yet to be revealed
WKYC crews will be there on Wednesday, May 4 with live rides from Valravn featured throughout our morning show between 4:30-7 a.m.
Coaster fans can soar on Valravn’s wings when Cedar Point opens on Saturday, May 7. Season passholders, however, can climb aboard one day sooner on Friday, May 6 for a special 7-11 p.m. event.
As they did with Rougarou last summer, Cedar Point is releasing Valravn-themed Toft’s ice cream, beer and its own Coca-Cola Freestyle mix flavor.
Can't wait that long for your coaster fix? Cedar Point's sister park, Kings Island, opens for the 2016 season Saturday, April 16.
