WESTLAKE, Ohio — The holiday season is in full swing, but the true joy of this time of year is giving back.
On Tuesday, Cleveland Browns safety, Ronnie Harrison did just that.
The 24-year-old held a surprise holiday shopping event for local Cleveland youth athletes at Dick's Sporting Goods in Westlake. The Florida native was joined by teammates Jadeveon Clowney and Curtis Weaver .
Each youth athlete was given a $150 gift card and was able to spend time with the players and use them as their personal shopping consultants.
This was the second shopping event held by the sporting goods chain and the Cleveland Browns organization. Browns cornerback, Greg Newsome held a similar event on Monday at the Dick's Sporting Goods in North Olmsted.
In addition to the shopping event, Dick's Sporting Goods provided a $2,000 grant to the Cleveland Police Athletic League.
