SOLON, Ohio — On a Friday night out with the family at RollHouse in Solon, bowling can work up an appetite.
This weekend, they are celebrating 30 years in business with throwback food prices. It's a good thing they brought on extra help.
"We do have a new employee," explains Eddie Gable of RollHouse Entertainment. "Bella is our newest employee. Bella is an autonomous food-running robot."
Bella assists servers in getting food to hungry patrons. Some folks don't quite know how to take her. But she's very good at her job.
"She goes into the kitchen, she gets loaded up with the food, the employees tell her where to go and she delivers it to the lanes or the tables," Gable describes.
The servers really like their robot coworker.
"It saves us time and it's kind of more fun I think and easier for the guests to have Bella come up. They can grab the food right off the tray and start eating," says server Morris.
Bella is a huge hit with kids. One even told us that Bella's cat ears were "cute."
Bella is a great employee, unless you rub her the wrong way.
"She definitely makes our lives easier and a lot more fun," adds Gable.
So much fun that RollHouse has "hired" a Bella-B for their Mentor location.
Bob Dylan was right. The times, they are a changin'.
