Today's the day. At midnight, Ohio lifted all health orders, including the mask mandate for those who have been fully vaccinated. And as you could imagine, it's generating all sorts of reaction across the state.
About whether she will still wear her mask despite the orders being lifted, Mary Kiser-Geschwind says, "Yes. I’m vaccinated but I have 2 children ages 10 and 8 who can’t be yet. I wear it to protect them."
Also about masks, Nicole Rose says, "Never wore one to begin with. Show your smiles people!!"
Karen Polvinale says, she'll still wear a mask in public. "Yes, too many unvaccinated people out there. I'd rather be safe than sorry."
When asked if they were ready for an open state, there was also very mixed reaction on our Facebook page.
Magda Swartz said, "Nope. the disease is still riddling other nations. It still exists. We're once again just bored of it and are pretending it's gone away."
Christy Howard hopes businesses benefit from the orders being dropped. "Just wondering what the heck took so long? Other states drop there's a while ago and yes there was an initial Spike but then their numbers dropped. This is way overdue. Hopefully businesses can start to recoup the loss made by this."
Aaron Blake points out, "Places still have the right to continue wearing them until they see it’s time."
A Twitter user below says, she is excited about the mandate being lifted.
