CLEVELAND — It’s time to celebrate everything about dogs!
National Dog Day is Wednesday, Aug. 26, and we want to see and hear about your canine companion.
Submit a photo or video of your fur baby, tell us where you’re from and a little about your dog. The best part... You just might see your precious pooch on 3News!
So, let’s talk about how to share your content with us. Here’s how it works …
First, open the WKYC app (if you don't have it, you can get it for free here: Apple, Droid). Next, scroll down to the button on the home page that looks like the photo below. You shouldn't have to scroll very far.
NOTE: Submissions have ended.
Once you click "Submit your photos here," all you have to do is follow the on-screen prompts and you're done. The entire process is simple and doesn't require much time at all (less than 60 seconds).
So how do you see your pup on TV? Glad you asked. Watch the GO! morning show from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. and check WKYC.com to see if your pet's pictures/or videos pop up on TV or online.
Happy National Dog Day!

And just in case you’re wondering, according to the website for National Dog Day, the day “celebrates all breads, mixed and pure and serves to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year, either from public shelters, rescues and pure breed rescues.”
Happy National Dog Day to you and yours!
