STRONGSVILLE, Ohio -- Welcome to Camp Cheerful.
"We have been doing this for 71 years,” says Connie Boros, the VP of recreation. “So on this beautiful piece of property with 52 acres and the canoeing and the fishing and all of that, we serve individuals with a variety of special needs.”
It’s a place that’s all about smiles.
"Seeing their smiling faces every day is definitely worth it,” says Zack Vonderau, summer day camp coordinator. “Giving kids with a wide range of disabilities a fun summer is definitely worth it."
Jenna, one of the campers, told us she likes spending the night there because “it is a getaway from home.”
