Orange Village temple holds 'Show Up for Shabbat' service to mark 1 year since deadly Pittsburgh synagogue shooting

Temples all across the country are holding such services of remembrance to coincide with Sunday's anniversary.

ORANGE, Ohio — Sunday will mark one year since 11 were killed at the tree of life synagogue in Pittsburgh. Friday night at temples across Northeast Ohio, those of all faiths "showed up" for Shabbat.

At a service at Temple Emanu El in Orange Village, attendees honored those who were murdered and expressed words of concern and hope.

Next month at the same temple, congregants from Tree of Life synagogue where the shooting occurred will speak on how the tragedy there has inspired activism.
