CLEVELAND — It’s the end of the third quarter for many schools, which means report cards are coming home -- and there’s always a section for teacher comments.
But what if teachers could really tell it like it is?
In this week’s Mom Squad, 3News’ Maureen Kyle sits down with comedian and high school teacher Liz Blanc whose comedy centers on the stuff kids say to her in school.
“Attempting to break up fights was always hard, but sometimes they would say the funniest things to each other and you would have to really keep a straight face and be serious. … One kid was like, ‘You look like a potato chip,' Blanc says. "Another kid had ripped jeans and he was like, ‘You look like you got in a fight with a tiger.’ Those are like the cleanest ones.”
We have lots more from our extended conversation with Blanc, which you can watch in the video below:
Blanc grew up in the Canton area, and at one point had taught at Cleveland Heights High School. She now lives and teaches out in Los Angeles while pursuing comedy.
