CLEVELAND — We are in the middle of summer break for kids, and so many families feel like it flies by before they get their “to-do” list done. In today's Mom Squad, 3News' Maureen Kyle sits down with Jen Brasdovich with Destination Cleveland to talk about all the different festivals, parks and restaurants you should check out.
One idea is celebrating “Christmas in July."
“North Coast Harbor/Downtown Cleveland Alliance is hosting Christmas in July right there at North Coast Harbor,” Brasdovich says.
“This is the second year for this, and it's such a cool event for families. It is Christmas themed, it happens July 23 so almost halfway to Christmas, you can start the countdown with the kids.”
Brasdovich says the event will have face painting, crafts, balloon animals, all sorts of activities for the kids. Then you can head to Castle Noel in Medina, the Christmas Story House and Great Lakes taps their Christmas Ale.
Destination Cleveland recommends other festivals to check out, like the zoo's Asian Lantern Festival, the Tall Ships and also all of the live concerts at Metroparks locations.
In the full Mom Squad Pod podcast below, Maureen and Jen take a deep dive into some of her favorite, lesser known parks and restaurants that you need to check out. You can listen or watch the podcast on YouTube or download anywhere you get your podcasts.
