Mentor company Alamarra has you covered for breakfast with pancake recipe Cleveland Quick

"Cleveland Quick" is the perfect solution for back to school breakfast.

MENTOR, Ohio — It's here!

Many students are heading back to the classroom this week -- including Canton, Akron, Strongsville, Solon, Bay Village and Kent.

Back to school means back to those busy morning routines!

We know breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, and one local company is making it quick easy for you. And, as Dave Chudowsky found out, really yummy.

Cleveland native Larry Boros founded Alamarra in 2002.  His company in Mentor has manufactured a variety of dry mixes for crepes, pancakes, waffles, and even waffle cones, to over 120 restaurants and distributors in 46 states and Canada.

“I learned that when you start and run a business, it's hard to comprehend how many people's lives you affect. It's really humbling. And I look out now and I look at all the people that we supply, and they totally depend on us, and it just changes your whole attitude on everything,” Boros said.

Recently Boros had a vision to expand his business, so he brought in Ken Demchik and the “Cleveland Quick” brand was born.

The company has made its way inside supermarkets including some here in Northeast Ohio. There are one pound packages of the same mixes they distribute: Vanilla, chocolate, gingerbread, pumkin spice and more on the shelves for customers to take home.  It's simple to make.

"Just add water. Everything is in it. And the major thing about us is there's only a couple other manufacturers, they'll have re-closeable bags. Because when you buy a product like this, a lot of people say, 'Hey, is it going to be good for two in two weeks? Ours is,” Demchik said.

"Cleveland Quick" is GMO free, transplant free, preservatives free, and soy free if you want it, and vegan if you want it.

Boros has come a long way leaving a career as a welding engineer and turning his grandma’s Hungarian crepe recipe into his passion.

Make sure to keep your eye out for their Creepy Cakes in the next month with Halloween approaching and the very popular pumpkin spice as well.
