Northeast Ohio, get ready for another delicious pizza joint.

A brand new pizza restaurant, Boom's Pizza, is set to open in Lakewood later this year. The location will be at the corner of Warren Road and Detroit Avenue, where Campbell's Popcorn used to be.

The pizza parlor will be opened by chef Ben Bebenroth alongside culinary partner Jonathan Bennett. The recipe is no stranger to the Cleveland community, as Bebenroth’s Grandpa "Boom" used to test out the pizza over the years at the weekly pop-up at Spice Hospitality Group's headquarters.

"Pizza is simple, but it's not easy, and as with most things simple, there's not much to hide behind," Bennett said. "So, we source the best we can find and try not to screw it up. At the end of the day, that’s what makes a great pizza: quality ingredients, treat them well and let them shine."

According to Spice Hospitality Group, the pizza is described as "Somewhere between New York and Neapolitan pie in style but measures fourteen inches across, 36.109637% larger than the typical twelve-inch Neapolitan."

The new eatery will offer 10-12 pizzas, including traditional pies as well as unique pies. There will also be salads, snackable items, and deserts on the menu.

“Pizza is often tied to powerful memories and traditions—it's simple and communal. Comfort food and party food," said Bebenroth. "We're excited to create something a little less complicated than what we’ve done so far. We're looking forward to being a neighborhood pizza place."

The location will feature seating for 44 guests, with a dark and bold aesthetic that features the work of local artists. Individuals can grab drinks from self-serve beverage coolers, including regional craft beers, wines and non-alcoholic options.

Boom's Pizza will offer both dine-in services as well as delivery. More information can be found at boomspizza.com
