BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio — A Northeast Ohio tea room has announced that beginning March 1, children under six years old will no longer be permitted.
The announcement came via Facebook on Wednesday from The Macaron Tea Room and Bakery in Broadview Heights.
The decision was made by staff members after they had "encountered difficulties related to cleaning up after messy spills, managing disruptive noise levels, and addressing safety concerns related to children running around the restaurant."

"Therefore, starting from March 1, 2023, we will no longer be able to accommodate or permit children aged six and under in our tea room. We understand that this may cause disappointment for some of our patrons, particularly those with well-behaved children. However, after careful consideration, we believe that this decision is necessary for us to move forward."
Store officials say that special exceptions will be made in the future for princess and Disney events. They also encouraged anyone with questions and concerns to reach out to them.
