WESTLAKE, Ohio — When it comes to mouthwatering steak, the Cabin Club in Westlake remains at the top of the list.
Located in a cozy log cabin dating back to the World War II era, it once served as a hunting club. Today, it is known as one of the best steakhouses in Northeast Ohio, a brand that they have built over 32 years.
"When you walk in, you are immersed in steakhouse culture," said Managing Partner, Chris Kneeland.
And they take that vibe to heart.
From the classic rustic ambiance to the craft cocktails, to the specially selected wine menu, attention to detail has set them apart.
"It's just what you want in a steakhouse," said Kneeland.
And of course, that starts with the beef. They continue to sear and serve the finest cuts of meat in the area, including center-cut filet mignon, thick-cut New York strip, bone-in ribeye and Australian wagyu.
"We bring everybody," said longtime customer, Irene Blakemore. "It's a special place. It's elegant but simple. The food is delicious and we love it."
This winter, Cabin Club underwent renovations to the restaurant where they updated the dining room, redid the hardwood floor and re-upholstered the booths as well as other things. But even with the new, Cabin Club remains true to its simple and elegant brand and menu.
The classic steakhouse menu remains and will most likely always be staples but they have also added new classics. One of note is their lobster pot pie.
"It's the best steaks in town. Just a classic," said Kneeland.
Cabin Club is located on Detroit Road in Westlake. They are open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. For more, visit their website, thecabinclub.com.
