WESTLAKE, Ohio — It's not hard to find good chicken in Northeast Ohio, and Hot Chicken Takeover is ready to live up to its name.
The Columbus-based chicken chain, which specializes in Nashville-style hot fried chicken, opened its first Northeast Ohio location Tuesday at Crocker Park. The eatery is located in the newest phase of the shopping center, on Main Street near H&M and 3 Palms Pizzeria.
Chicken is the star of the menu, and it comes in a variety of options. Guests will find white meat, dark meat, wings, drumsticks and sandwiches, all with a choice of four sauces ranging from mild "cool" to "holy" hot.
Sides include all the southern-inspired favorites, from banana pudding to mac and cheese. Sweet tea and ranch dipping sauce are "always free", according to the menu.

Hot Sauce Takeover also has three locations in the Columbus area, in Clintonville, Easton shopping center and inside the North Market.
