CLEVELAND — 'Tis the season!
Great Lakes Brewing Company unofficially kicked off the holiday season in Cleveland on Thursday as they celebrated the "First Pour" of Christmas Ale.
The ceremonial event gave customers the first taste of Christmas Ale ahead of the 2024 holiday season.
Here is a schedule of events for the first pour:
- Christmas carolers, treats, and hot cocoa (pre-tapping)
- Christmas Ale ceremonial keg delivery: 11 a.m
- The First Pour of Christmas Ale: 11:30 a.m.
- Brewnuts in the Beer Garde: 11:30 a.m. (while supplies last)
Additionally, there will be Christmas Ale food specials, music, photo ops and a toy drive to benefit Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital.
The gift shop will also feature limited holiday merchandise, including a mix of Christmas ale and winter-themed apparel and accessories.
If you didn't make it to the First Pour celebration, here's when you can buy Christmas Ale:
- Oct. 18: The first cans, bottles and kegs of Christmas Ale will be available for purchase exclusively at the GLBC gift shop
- Oct. 21: Cans, bottles and kegs of Christmas Ale will begin appearing throughout all GLBC markets
