The restaurant dropped off food with one of the Salvation Army’s Cleveland shelters.

CLEVELAND — Michael Symon is doing what he can to support Clevelanders in need.

Symon’s hit restaurant, Lola Bistro, donated trays of salad and pasta yesterday to residents at the Salvation Army’s Harbor Light Complex downtown.

“We are grateful and excited to do what we can during these trying times” Symon said, “To cook is what we love to do and being able to help feed those in need makes it very special for us.” Symon also said that they will provide meals through June to help out those in need due to COVID-19.

Executive Director for the Harbor Light Complex said in a statement, “This is such a generous gift that has lifted the spirits and souls of our residents & staff. Chef Symon is a hometown hero who is very generous to non-profits to throughout Northeast Ohio, including ours.”

The complex is one of seven Salvation Army locations in the area and serves homeless men, women and children, and those suffering from addiction.
