Rudy's not only topped our vote, but also sold out of paczki on Fat Tuesday. At least 78,000 of the delicious sweet treats were made and sold at the 74-year-old Parma bakery.
"This is a huge Cleveland first," Rudy's owner Lidia Trempe wrote us in a message. It's the first time Rudy's has ever sold out of paczki on a Fat Tuesday.

Fat Tuesday marks the time for people to indulge in fatty foods ahead of the Lenten season. Each year, bakeries across the country celebrate with the production of paczkis, which are Polish deep-fried pieces of dough with filling. Paczki is pronounced “Poonch-key” or “pawnch-key."
