Those who know it will swear its some of the best food you will ever have. Now, the direct Akron area is about to get its first taste.
3News has confirmed Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers will be opening a new restaurant on Howe Avenue in Cuyahoga Falls, near Chapel Hill Mall and just minutes away from downtown Akron. Spokesperson Michelle Bellanger tells us the location will be up and running some time in late summer or early fall of this year and that the is company is "super excited" about reaching a new group of customers.
Founded 24 years ago in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Cane's is known for their high-end fast food that includes options like their signature chicken and legendary "Cane's Sauce." The chain currently has nine locations across Northeast Ohio, with the closest one to Cuyahoga Falls currently in Kent.
By the time the Cuyahoga Falls restaurant opens, Cane's hopes it will be their 12th spot in the region. Another store is in the process of being built in Macedonia and is set to be the first in Summit County.
A vacant Eat'n Park now sits where Cane's will later open in 2021. Worker's have not yet broken ground on the project, but more information is expected to be available in a matter of weeks.
