University Hospitals giving free lunch to kids in Northeast Ohio at 6 locations this summer

The UH Kids Summer Lunch Program offers children ages 1-18 a free lunch every Monday through Friday.

CLEVELAND — If your kids need something to eat while they’re out of school for summer break, University Hospitals has announced they are offering free lunch at six different locations throughout the months ahead.

“Children ages 1-18 are eligible to receive a free, healthy bag lunch,” UH officials announced Monday in a press release. “Any child is eligible to receive a complimentary meal through the program -- there is no income qualification.”

Although registration is not required, the program's rules state children must eat the meals on site and no meals can be taken to go.

These free lunches will be available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the following UH locations:

In addition to daily free lunches, those who attend the lunch program at the UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s on Fridays, and meet income requirements, will receive a free bag of shelf-stable food for each child to help get them through the weekend.

Meals are provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children.
