Summer may be winding down, but the weather looks like it will remain clear and hot this weekend, making things perfect for Labor Day.
Besides getting the day off from school and bringing out the grill, there are a lot of great events to take in around Northeast Ohio. Here's are list of some of the best ones!
Events are still in full swing for Cleveland's Navy Week, including "Navy Day" on Friday from the Great Lakes Science Center. The crown jewel, however, will be the Cleveland National Air Show from Saturday through Monday at Burke Lakefront Airport, featuring performances from the famous Blue Angels.
Cleveland Indians games
The first place Tribe will be taking on the Tampa Bay Rays this weekend at Progressive Field, followed by the Kansas City Royals Labor Day afternoon. Great seats are still available for all games, and promotions include fireworks, a special 1948 replica jersey, and a chance for kids to run the bases. Additionally, the team has also waived its extra fees for fans purchasing tickets online.
Time to have a cold one (or two) at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. Oktoberfest starts Thursday and runs through Monday, and features a micro brew competition, wiener dog races, a charity 5K and live music. Tickets are $13, and kids 12 and under get in free with parking.
Star Wars: A New Hope concert featuring Cleveland Orchestra
Head out to Blossom Music Center every night through Sunday to see Cleveland's greatest musicians perform the legendary music from the famous movie. Tickets are still available.
The Great Geauga County Fair
Billed as "the best entertainment event in the land," the Great Geauga County Fair is celebrating its 196th year with over 13,000 exhibits, over 2,000 animals, rides, games, great food, and so much more. The event has already kicked off, and runs through Labor Day.
St. Rocco Festival
Besides all of the religious aspects from the local Catholic parish, the St. Rocco festival also features 80s bands, a casino, food and games, and the "greasy poll climb" on Labor Day. The latter event features grown men, well, trying to climb up a greasy poll!

If you want to spend you weekend looking for great deals on interesting things, the Hartville MarketPlace in Stark County will feature more than 1,000 vendors selling scores of interesting items. Sarah's Market Fresh Grill will also be there to provide snacks!

Taking place Sunday and Monday, the annual Taste of Hudson not only features great food and drinks but plenty of activities for kids, including a Captain America interactive stage show.
PHOTOS: Asian Lantern Festival
Due to the popular demand for tickets, the incredible Asian Lantern Festival at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has been extended through Labor Day weekend! It is open Thursday through Monday from 6:30-10 p.m., and also features authentic Asian cuisine, live music, and craft stations.
North Shore AFL-CIO Labor Day Festival
Why not celebrate our country's work fork with the people themselves? Besides clowns, games, food, and other activities, this year's festival at James Day Park in Parma will also feature Gram Parsons cover band New Soft Shoe.
