Labor Day weekend events happening in Northeast Ohio

3News has compiled a list of festivals and events taking place during Labor Day weekend.

CLEVELAND — Labor Day has arrived, and there are plenty of events taking place across Northeast Ohio for you and your family to enjoy! 

Check out the list of festivals, fairs, sporting events and more below!

Cuyahoga County 

Air Show Watch Party 

  • Sept. 2-3 
  • Noon to 4:30 p.m. 
  • Bar 32

Enjoy the Cleveland Air Show from 32 stories up at Bar 32 in the Hilton Cleveland Downtown. Tickets for the event can be purchased HERE

Cars in the Square 

  • Sunday, Sept. 3 
  • Noon to 4 p.m. 
  • Public Square

An iconic car show is returning to Cleveland during Labor Day weekend. The event will feature $30 million worth of exotic vehicles, music, games, activities, family fun and food trucks. 

Cleveland Guardians baseball 

  • Sept. 1-4 
  • Progressive Field 

The Cleveland Guardians will be hosting the Tampa Bay Rays on Sept. 1-3 and the Minnesota Twins on Sept. 4. The weekend features many giveaways, including a free shirt Friday, an Emmanuel Clase bobblehead giveaway on Saturday, and Kids Fun Day on Sunday. Tickets can be purchased HERE

Cleveland National Air Show

  • Sept. 2-4 
  • Burke Lakefront Airport 

Performances by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will highlight the 2023 Cleveland National Air Show. The event will also feature the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor and the U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier. There will be military demonstrations, parachuting and aerobatics. 

Cleveland Oktoberfest

  • Sept. 1-4 & 8-9
  • Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds

67th Hungarian Festival 

  • Sept. 3 
  • 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The festival features delicious food, live musical entertainment, colorful, authentic folk costumes, folk dance lessons and more.

Geauga County 

The Great Geauga County Fair

  • Aug. 31- Sept. 4
  • Geauga County Fairgrounds

The 201st Great Geauga County Fair features rides and games for all, grandstand entertainment, food, horse shows and more! 

Stark County 

Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic 

  • Sept. 3
  • 4 p.m.
  • Pro Football Hall of Fame 

The annual Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic returns to Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton. The game featuring Morehouse College and Virginia Union University will kick off at 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased HERE.

Summit County

Akron Pizza Fest

  • Sept. 1-3 
  • Lock 3's Backyard 

The 3-day food and music festival features pizza parlors from all across the Akron area. 

Barberton Labor Day BBQ and Music Fest 

  • Sept. 1-3 
  • 615 West Park Ave., Barberton

The weekend-long festival features BBQ, live music, a rib burn-off, free entry and free parking. 

Disney in Concert: The Sound of Magic 

  • Sept. 1-3 
  • 7-10 p.m. 
  • Blossom Music Center 

The Cleveland Orchestra will have a celebration of Disney music, animation and memories. Characters and soundtracks from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disney Parks will come to life on the concert hall stage. 

Made in Ohio Art and Craft Festival 

  • Sept. 1-3 
  • 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
  • Cost: $12 for adults, $6 for children (3-12)
