This student was accepted into 231 colleges and universities

Madison Crowell says she plans to study exercise science and eventually become a doctor of physical therapy.

HINESVILLE, Ga. — The next step in a high school student's education is getting us uplifted as she was presented with numerous options and possibilities for her future.

Madison Crowell is a senior at Liberty County High School in Hinesville, Georgia, and she had the choice to go pretty much anywhere she wanted to for college. She was accepted into 231 colleges and universities and was awarded close to $15 million in scholarships.

This week, the 18-year-old announced she will be attending High Point University in North Carolina. "I got a full academic ride to attend so I'm really excited about going to High Point."

She has the rest of her life to accomplish her wildest dreams.

So why did Crowell apply to so many schools? She said she wanted to show other students from low-income backgrounds that it's possible to get accepted into not just local schools but colleges across the country.

Crowell says she plans to study exercise science and eventually become a doctor of physical therapy.
