AKRON, Ohio — They've decked the halls at the John S. Knight Center in Akron as the Holiday Tree Festival fundraising event returns for another year.
The popular tradition – which runs from Nov. 11-19 – features hundreds of decorated Christmas trees, wreaths and other decorations, which can all be purchased to benefit Akron Children’s Hospital.
“Since its beginning in 1982, the Holiday Tree Festival has raised more than $7 million for the hospital's patient care programs, education and research,” according to the event’s site.
Last year’s tree festival raised $270,000.
Access to the Akron Holiday Tree Festival is free and open to the public. Here’s the 2023 schedule:
- Saturday, Nov. 11: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 12: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Monday, Nov. 13: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Tuesday, Nov. 14: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 15: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 16: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Friday, Nov. 17: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 18: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 19: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
