CLEVELAND — Halloween is still several weeks away, but the elephants at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo are celebrating the spooky season extra early as they were treated with a giant pumpkin weighing 1,500 pounds on Wednesday morning.
It comes as the Cleveland Zoo also prepares for their third annual Trick-or-Treat Fest, which kicks off Friday and runs weekends through Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
We streamed live video of the moment, which you can watch in the video player below:
New this year, guests can explore a “larger-than-life animal display constructed from natural materials.”
Other highlights of the 2022 Trick-or-Treat Fest include:
- Unlimited train rides on the Pumpkin Express
- Meet-and-greets with costumed characters
- Trick-or-treat stations
- Return of the Monster Mash Dance Party at the zoo’s amphitheater
The first 800 guests each day will also receive a complimentary trick-or-treat bag.
