CLEVELAND — Halloween is right around the corner, and you know what that means: Costumes, candy and fun!

But, some towns around Northeast Ohio have canceled Trick-or-Treating because of COVID-19.

Luckily, some local businesses have stepped up to offer some fun, safe alternatives that still keep you in the spirit of Halloween.

Below are three good options around town:

Akron Zoo's "Howl-O-Ween"

Dress up in costume and explore your Akron Zoo decorated for a non-scary Howl-O-Ween Celebration. Enjoy themed selfie stations throughout the park, meet some of your favorite mascots and receive a goodie bag at the end of your fang-tastic adventure!

Saturdays & Sundays
Oct. 10-11, 17-18, 24-25 & 31
11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Member-Only Times:

Fridays, Oct. 9, 16, 23 & 30
4 - 7 p.m.

You must have a ticket to enter! More information, HERE.

Hudson Fairy Doors

Hudson retailers created and installed their own fairy doors!

Because of COVID-19, the annual merchant trick-or-treat was canceled. So, local business owners wanted to offer a safe way for children to trick-or-treat over a longer duration of time without the crowd.

From October 15th-31st, costumed children are invited to search for fairy doors that are decorated with pumpkins. If the fairy has placed a pumpkin outside its fairy door, masked children are invited into that local business for a Halloween treat (during normal business hours).

There's even a fairy door map to follow along! More information, HERE.

 Chuck E. Cheese Halloween Boo-tacular

Experience a family-friendly Halloween celebration and a "touchless" trick-or-treat.

Guests can enjoy a spooky  line-up of Halloween entertainment with Mr. Munch's Monster Mashup, plus you get a free treat bag in October when your child visits in costume or when you buy an All You Can Play card of 30-minutes or more.

On Friday and Saturday nights, DJ Munch turns it up to get the party going. Plus, you can enjoy Halloween-themed menu items.

The event runs through November 1st. More information, HERE.
