CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio β As Halloween weekend approaches, many are continuing their traditions across Northeast Ohio.
The annual Chagrin Falls pumpkin roll took over Grove Hill on Thursday night.
This year's event marked the 55th anniversary of the first-ever pumpkin roll. In 1967, the annual event began as it started as a prank with stolen pumpkins.
Since its inception, the event has become a Halloween tradition for many students in Chagrin Falls.
Many individuals tossed pumpkins down the hill prior to sliding through the gooey pumpkin carnage on the hill.
According to the Chagrin Falls Police Department, everyone at the event was respectful and there were no arrests, injuries or major incidents.
