WADSWORTH, Ohio — For no mere mortal can resist… the evil of the thriller…
Hundreds of zombies will take over the streets of Wadsworth on Thursday, Oct. 19 to recreate spooky scenes from Michael Jackson’s iconic Thriller music video as the Halloween-related event marks its 10th year.
Going to the event? Here's what you need to know, according to Main Street Wadsworth's Facebook page:
- 4:30 p.m. Downtown roads close. Move vehicles off downtown streets by 4 p.m.
- 5 p.m. Trick-or-treating begins at participating businesses in downtown Wadsworth.
- 6:30 p.m. "Zombie Patrol" begins assembling the dance lanes with cones and caution tape.
- 7 p.m. The Wadsworth Thriller dance officially begins.
Due to the popularity of the annual performance, the Thriller dance is now happening simultaneously in three locations. You can see more in the map below...
The event concludes at 8 p.m. and downtown roads will reopen by 8:30 p.m.
The Wadsworth Thriller performance is a popular tradition that has since gone viral after video of last year’s dance scared up more than 2.2 million views on Facebook. You can watch the video below:
