AKRON, Ohio — The Christmas season is quickly approaching, and Akron will kick things off with the city’s Welcome Santa Parade at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29.
The parade steps off at Cedar and South Main Street, continuing down South Main to West Bowery Street.
“The parade is an illuminated night parade featuring community groups, arts and cultural organizations, drum lines, and businesses with illuminated floats, vehicles and costumes,” according to the event listing.
Once the parade comes to a close, the festivities are set to continue in the newly renovated Lock 3 with music and a drone show at 7 p.m.
And this is just the beginning…
Lock 3 will also be hosting a series of events throughout the winter season like ice skating, ice bumper cars and igloo rentals.
