Medina house uses Christmas light display to raise money for family battling cancer

All of the donations will go to a local family battling pancreatic cancer.

MEDINA, Ohio — A Medina holiday tradition is back.

The Licursi Creations Christmas Story has been lighting up Medina for more than five years with the mission to give back and spread holiday cheer.

This weekend, the home located at 6321 Shadow Creek Drive is having its annual weekend with The Grinch from 6-9 p.m. During the event, visitors can step into a whimsical wonderland and meet the Grinch himself.

The event is free, but all of the donations made will go to a local family battling pancreatic cancer. Donations can be made via Venmo to @Licursicreations.

"It is a local family, the Guidetti family. The husband, Andy, is battling pancreatic cancer. We are trying to help however we can. We're taking donations via Venmo, boxes on-site and at our Grinch event," said owner Justin Licursi.

If you’re able to donate. We would greatly appreciate it. Help us make a impact this year! Every little bit helps 🌟...

Licursi says that some of his display pieces are hard-to-find vintage pieces which brings back nostalgia for all. He spends weeks setting up the decorations and gets them from Facebook Marketplace and via donation.

Who’s ready for our grinch event?
