OLMSTED FALLS, Ohio — Swings N’ Things seems like it is from a simpler era. It’s almost like it somehow managed to travel through time from the 1980s and landed in present day Olmsted Falls. Maybe no one has told them that nearly all parks like this have relented to time and called it a day. If so, let’s just hope no one tips them off soon. It’s a special place.
There is, of course, no shortage of ways to spend your time at “Swingies” (slang term I’m trying to get going), but regardless of whether you decide to recreate through go carts, bumper boats, pinball or batting cages you really should do yourself a favor and make sure that you don’t leave without trying the ice cream.
This stuff is the real deal folks. People travel from hither and yon to partake in their delightfully-dense, dairy deliciousness and you’d be hard pressed to find someone whose not happier for the experience.
So folks, when you visit Swingies (catching on yet?) you should by all means enjoy your ski-balling and your Donkey Konging to your heart’s content, but I’d strongly advise you to save room for dessert.
