VALLEY VIEW, Ohio — A 16-year-old dog named JJ came to the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter in early February 2021 as a stray. Shelter staff and volunteers were unable to get in contact with JJ's owner for him to go home.
Shelter staff and volunteers were curious about his perpetual adorable head tilt, so off to the vet he went! It turns out that the poor guy probably suffered from chronic ear infections which have since been treated.
JJ is probably a Retiever/Husky mix and weighs about 50 lbs.
Mindy Naticchioni, Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter Director said JJ has become a shelter favorite! Despite his age, he has plenty of energy. At the shelter, he participates in playgroups and loves to hang out with other gentle and dainty pooches. He goes for long walks with volunteers and is generally spoiled by everyone at the shelter. He loves snacks!
JJ still has pep in his step and would do well in a home without cats.
Shelter volunteers and staff really hope that JJ will find a loving home where he can spend his retirement years!
