TREMONT, Ohio -- Imagine getting a steaming cup of Joe, and your favorite pastry, sitting down in a cozy chair, then snuggling up with several cats. Yep, you heard that right.
That's going to be a reality very soon in Tremont, with the opening of affoGATO on Starkweather Avenue.
It's the first of its kind in Cleveland after owner Mandy Miller got inspired by other cat cafes around the United States.
Their mission isn't just about kittens and coffee. They want to promote cat adoption, and create a fun, inclusive space for cat lovers. They're also teaming up with local businesses and artists for their cafe to help the community as a whole.
But if you're thinking this is the kind of place where you can bring your own cat to chill with, don't get the wrong idea.
Visitors pay a small cover to relax, work, and enjoy coffee and snacks while interacting with adoptable cats. And if you bond with one in particular? You can go through the proper protocol to adopt!
